...and because I'm blocked on how to wrap up Ch.3 of Ineffable Crossover (which is rapidly becoming an Eyrie-scale mess - not sure how I feel about that) I will therefore present random thoughts:
1. Over the Thanksgiving holiday, my sisters and I watched It's a Wonderful Life after I dropped the news that I'd never seen it. However, during it, we got into an argument over the moral of the story. My sister 'A' thinks it's a wonderful, uplifting tale. However, my ever-bitter and cynical sister 'M' declared that the movie was really about how George Baley keeps getting screwed over by the people in his life. I sided with 'M'. So too does the New York Times.
2. A woman rides her motorbike through Chernobyl in this two-part photostory.
3. What ever happened to that X-Men manga project from last year? Granted, I've really fallen out of the DC/Marvel arena with all these constant shitty company-wide crossover events (speaking of, what the hell was 'Batman: RIP' supposed to be about anyways?) but I was actually looking forward to some X-Men manga. I'm not really a fan of the mainstream X-books, and the Ultimate line derailed years ago, but I'm always up for Elseworlds and What Ifs... when they arrive. They're like fanfic but legal.
4. U2 is coming out with a new CD in the spring. Hopefully this one won't blow as much as the last one...
5. A horrific workplace safety TV ad from Canada. (NSFW?) Hint: Make sure you have the volume turned up.
