Girl!Pakku, ambitions [1/1]

It burned.

Pakka had accepted a complete novice into her healing classes, let her sit on lesson across a half dozen skill levels, and the girl could barely bring herself to stay awake. THIS was the hope of the Southern Water Tribe? Pakka knew laziness when she saw it. Pity her people's southernly cousins could only hope to rely on such an idiot for their collective future. Pakka breezed past the child after the day's classes concluded, unwilling to waste any more of her valuable time on such an arrogant, sullen child.

...

Still.

She tried not to let the disappointment get to her. Returning the healing arts to the South Pole... what teacher wouldn't dream of such a legacy? To be the teacher of a whole nation, to have their personal style practiced by girls and women for generations to come? If Katara had been a boy, such a prospect would earn him a slot next to the Avatar in an elite class. Pakka had outmaneuvered her junior healers for the right to the Southern Water Tribe's daughter. Too bad the girl had such twisted sensibilities.

Feh. If the whelp wanted to undress in the dark and pretend there was something dangling between her legs, let her! Pakka had real work to do.
