I have no idea what is going on, and I want to know!
It's a nBSG/SG1 crossover I've been toying with. It's very much in the early "come up with random scenes" stage. I've got too much going on at the moment to put the project on the front burner -- I'd need to do a *lot* of refreshing on both series first, plus watch Caprica to get a better feel for the pre-Holocaust vibe of the Colonies.
Basically, it's an anti-RAAB crossover: the Colonies and Cylons each find their own stargate, the destruction of the 12 Colonies gets averted, and the Colonies and Earth end up as rivals/allies that are competing to spread their influence throughout the galaxy. Not in a Cold War way or anything like that; more in a 19th Century "Great Powers" carving up Africa and China for their own aggrandizement.
