Keeping them the same age does wonders, but you also have to keep them the same mental age. Misato deaging doesn't help anything on it's own, because the primary violation of trust are social mental power struggles, not the physical age difference.
12. Honestly, this was about the lenght I was expecting, but full on fic ideas. Just what would need to be done to make a story where the pairing could work for you.
