A lot of 'Eva and the Nine' was going to be like -- 'the center cannot hold' feeling, that Shinji _was_ pretty mentally screwed up and all the characters weren't at all prepared to fight another Angel war. I have chunks of the first three chapters written, but I could never find the drive to do more. It just wasn't interesting for me to write.
BTW, there was going to be a Sixth Child called 'J.D. Jones', an expy of my least favorite Evangelion Mary Sue. I'll probably have him show up in 'Ineffable Crossover' at some point.
