I might take a crack at this again in a couple months, once I've got enough distance on "Your Fixed Point" that I'm not just stealing its theme and voice.
Though I do find this alternate student/mentor relationship between girl!Sokka and Suki interesting, I think it might be echoing some of the themes of their friendship I have in FFO. Since this wouldn't be a shipping fic and I'd rather not repeat a theme, that kind of undercuts the need to write it. I've already got two fics (well, sorta three) in production with some degree of Sokka/Suki. I don't think there's anything more to say about that relationship that I can't do in two one-shots and FFO.
