Oh, there will be a rather important flashback scene(s) with Gendo and Yui in Chapter 22. There is far, FAR more to Gendo and Yui Ikari than has been shown so far. We'll also be briefly seeing Yui and all the other important parents in Chapter 18, the 'Second Impact flashback chapter'.
