Mac is Back
So my Macbook didn't end up dying after eating half a mug of iced tea. The Mac Store people checked it out and it looks like I managed to get the liquid off my keyboard in time before it penetrated into the laptop's guts. Everything's fine. I've backed up my files again (which I will now do more regularly).
In other news, the Help_Japan auction finished. I won several commissions, which I'll link to on this livejournal once they've been written. I'm pretty excited to see the results. My own auction ended with me honoring my two highest bids. I figured I could write a second fic for a good cause, so I'm two separate 3000+ fics. I can't talk about them yet but they're both AtLA fics:
* Project: Melancholy
* Project: F3
In addition, I still have to write my Rare/Crack Pairing Fic this week. This will likely be my last time participating in that particular exchange. It's very well-organized, but I really don't want a repeat of what I'm experiencing this round as I try to figure out how the hell I'm supposed to make any of my assigned pairings work. And honestly? Committing to these bangs/exchanges is a big reason why Full Metal Bitch hasn't updated in several months. Aside from the Avatar Big Bang, I'm not going to be participating in any other community event through the rest of 2011. That's why I've dropped out of the Maiko Banked Flame Big Bang.
