Order of the Lotus fic -- MK.2

So my initial fic for the swap turned out to be solid...  it's just too damn long to finish on time. I can't, in good authorial conscience, publish a 15,000~20,000 word fic without some serious beta reading for it first. There's no time to do that in what's left of June. Now I'm swinging for the fences with a new, shorter fic. It currently stands at just over 2,000 words. I figure it'll be about 6,000 at the end. That's beta-able in the time left.

EDIT: (July 1st, 2:39PM) ...aaaaand it's done, weighing in at 10,000+ words.
